'Hapus' and 'Alphonso' growing district of Maharashtra State of India mangoes in the Rantagiri. They are called the Kings of mangoes. The taste is pure, deliciously sweet and very soft fibrous. The look is brownish Green Pink. The shape is a pleasure for the viewer and the size that fits Palm.
The mango season begins around April in this state of the West Indies when the price very high - about $10 remains a dozen. In June-July, it is tolerable levels. Mango festivals are organised in Mumbai to this season, where farmers from different regions of the State open their booths from the priciest mangoes and sell at wholesale rates. People flock such festivals and try it for a good deal. Dozen prices are here not so much to held. Customers are looking a 'PETI' that is, a straw cushioned wooden case of rows of mangoes tightly closed, which purchased at bulk prices.
The Newsroom of a local TV channel came the news that 'Hapus' mangoes exported after a long break from 18 to America. That was the big news. It occupied headline slot all of that day. It was newsworthy and even sentimental as it provoked a feeling of pride of the local media staff.
Two days later there was a lack of hard news and it was very difficult to manage the compulsory three headings for a bulletin ten minutes and above. The chief reporter discovered something and crashed into the editor gushing out "Sir, 'Hapus' mangoes in America!" "We have our headline!"
"It was two days ago." We have made full use of it. "No way!"
"No Sir!" "The mangoes have reached America!"
"Are you crazy?" Mean to say we do another heading have reached America the mangoes; and then we go how many American people have gobbled up how many mangoes on a daily basis to making headlines! Don't get also patriotic, man! "Well, get rid of that 'Mangola'-mania and hunt for some hard news!"
